Payment Policy

In recent months, Gabbie has moved away from taking all private health insurances and has shifted to private-pay (out of pocket) only. Gabbie is only in-network with Medicaid/Husky at this time.

While passionate about providing affordable quality care that is accessible, Gabbie no longer feels comfortable or safe working with insurance companies due to the current political climate, subsequent actions being taken around mental health parity, and the particular vulnerabilities of the clients she serves.

Gabbie feels a strong ethical obligation to both protect their clients, and keep their practice and the safe space for healing it provides running. They have come to understand that this shift to out-of-network services is one way within their circle of control to best do that.

Sliding Scale: "The Green Bottle"

Gabbie offers a sliding scale for payment informed by The Green Bottle concept designed by Alexis J. Cunningfolk of www.wortsandcunning.comThis system is comprised of 3 tiers that clients can self-select from based on their perception of their financial abundance and limitations.

Tier One

$150/session

For those with difficulty meeting their basic needs.

Tier Two

$175/session

For those meeting their basic needs with limited disposable income.

Tier Three

$200/session

For those with disposable income.

In order to provide quality care to all clients, Gabbie's business model operates on the following proportions regarding payment:

20% of their caseload can make agreements within each of the 3 sliding scale tiers outlined above (totaling 60%), leaving 40% of their caseload to either have Husky covering the expense or a reduced-fee arrangement including pro bono.
